Bioengineering PhD Program
The Bioengineering PhD program at the Politecnico di Milano is one of the largest in Italy and most important for the quality of research. Established in 1983, the program trains researchers capable of developing methods, designing devices and systems in the biomedical and healthcare fields.

Educational Content
The PhD program is multidisciplinary, covering a wide range of topics from the analysis of bioimages, signals, and clinical data to the development of procedures for radiotherapy techniques, the study of human-robot interaction in surgery, omics data analysis, development of lab-on-chip or haemodynamic models for the prediction of adverse events, and the analysis and development of new biocompatible materials.
