Master's Degree in Agricultural Engineering
Program Overview
Agricultural Engineering Program
The Agricultural Engineering program at Politecnico di Milano is a two-year master's degree that aims to train engineers operating in the agro-industrial sector. The program focuses on providing students with a system vision, enabling them to study and implement application solutions based on an overall vision of the technological aspects of the agro-industrial chain.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the program, applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or in Agricultural and Forestry Sciences and Technologies.
Mission and Goals
The mission of the program is to prepare culturally and professionally highly qualified technicians who can implement available technologies to ensure the sustainability, safety, and traceability of agro-industrial productions. The program's goals include designing and integrating automation, monitoring agricultural robotic systems, using Big Data analysis and Artificial Intelligence, and improving yields and control over safety requirements.
Subjects and Tracks
The program offers four tracks:
- AGM: for students from a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a solid background in Mechanical Engineering
- AGE: for students from a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a solid background in Environmental Engineering
- AGA: for students from a Bachelor's degree in Engineering who do not fall into the previous categories
- AGI: for students from a Bachelor's degree other than Engineering
Mandatory courses for each track include:
- AGA, AGE, and AGM: Agronomy, Animal Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology
- AGA, AGE, AGI: Modellistica dei sistemi meccanici
