Program Overview


Transformative Sustainability

The Transformative Sustainability program is a Master's degree offered in collaboration with Universitŕ Bocconi. The lessons will be held at Universitŕ Bocconi and at the Leonardo campus of Politecnico di Milano.


Eligibility

To be eligible for the program, applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree in one of the following fields: Engineering, Business, Economics, or Political Sciences. Ideally, applicants should have multidisciplinary backgrounds and an interest in studying a range of subjects across different disciplines. A passion for contributing to solve grand societal challenges and for a sustainability approach to management and economics is also desirable.


Mission and Goals

The program aims to prepare new professionals in the field of transformative sustainability. It combines fields in technology (technologies for the environment, energy, mobility, and circularity) with fields in the social sciences (management, economics, and quantitative and legal disciplines) needed to manage a just sustainable transition within organizations. The program is based on a complementary blend of the strengths of Politecnico di Milano and Universitŕ Bocconi.


Career Opportunities

This MSc program is designed for students interested in building a professional career in a multidisciplinary environment, characterized by original and innovative hybridization between management and technology. Graduates will be prepared to become changemakers toward sustainable development. Two main professional profiles will be developed:


  • Sustainability Specialists: They will support the sustainable growth and transformation process of corporate businesses by integrating sustainability into the value chain.
  • Sustainability Analysts: They will contribute to projects that help clients improve their processes or practices toward sustainability, sharing market best practices and designing action plans adapted to the client's reality.
