Program Overview
Program Overview
The Intelligenza Artificiale e Industria (Artificial Intelligence and Industry) program is a MOOC designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the impact and potential of artificial intelligence techniques in the industrial context.
Course Description
The course aims to equip participants with a thorough understanding of the principles underlying artificial intelligence and its applications in the industry. The program is structured to cover the evolution of artificial intelligence, its current state, and future prospects, with a focus on industrial applications.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the role of artificial intelligence in the technological evolution of the industrial sector
- Explain the history of artificial intelligence from its origins to the present day
- Define and describe an artificial intelligence system
- List the available artificial intelligence tools for different problems
- Explain the functioning of artificial intelligence methods
- Choose the appropriate artificial intelligence tool for solving specific problems in the industrial context
Course Structure
The course is divided into four weeks, covering the following topics:
- Week 0: Introduction
- Week 1: Industry 5.0 and Artificial Intelligence
- Week 2: What is Artificial Intelligence?
- Week 3: Artificial Intelligence Methods
- Week 4: Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Industry
Assessment and Certification
The course includes quizzes and a final questionnaire. Participants who achieve at least 60% of the total score in each quiz and complete the final questionnaire will be awarded an Open Badge. The Open Badge is not an official certificate and does not grant university credits, grades, or diplomas.
Target Audience
The program is designed for Bachelor of Science students, particularly those interested in engineering and artificial intelligence.
Duration and Level
The course lasts for four weeks, with a total workload of 25 hours. The course level is EQF 6, which corresponds to a bachelor's degree level.
Discipline and Area
The program falls under the discipline of engineering, specifically in the area of electronics and automation (ISCED-F code 0714).
