The program is a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) focused on Artificial Intelligence and Industry, designed for Bachelor of Science students. The course aims to provide an overview of the impact and potential of artificial intelligence techniques in the industrial context.


Course Description

The course explores the role of artificial intelligence in the technological evolution of the industrial sector, covering topics such as the history of AI, the definition and functioning of AI systems, and the application of AI tools in industry. The course consists of four weeks of study, with a total workload of 25 hours.

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the history of AI from its origins to the present day
  • Define and describe an AI system
  • List the available AI tools for different problems

Course Structure

Assessment and Certification

The course offers an Open Badge, which can be obtained by achieving a score of at least 60% in each of the assessed quizzes. The badge is not an official certificate and does not grant university credits, grades, or diplomas.


Instructor

The course is taught by Monica Tiboni, Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Brescia. Professor Tiboni has published over 100 articles in specialized journals and has collaborated on national and European research programs, focusing on topics such as industrial and collaborative robotics, innovative methodologies based on artificial intelligence techniques, and soft actuators.
