Teaching regulations
Training objectives
The course aims to train engineers who are capable of analyzing, understanding, and managing problems not only in the aeronautical sector but also in related scientific and technological areas. The course aims to provide students with a solid cultural and professional preparation, qualifying them to work and manage activities related to research and design in the fields of aerodynamics, structures and materials, systems, and aerospace propulsion.
Architecture of the Degree Course
The course provides students with the opportunity to identify training paths that are functional to acquiring a solid preparation in the disciplines that are most widely required by the job market. The first year of the course includes four compulsory teachings that are common to all students, which include the foundational training activities for aeronautical engineers. Students can also choose three teachings, two of which are dedicated to training activities on similar/complementary topics and one dedicated to a characterizing training activity. The second year of the course offers a wide and diversified training offer, within which students can identify, through the choice of teachings, the didactic path that best enhances their interests and attitudes.
Professional opportunities
The preparation of the Master's graduate in Aeronautical Engineering Engineering Aeronautics allows for insertion in positions of autonomy and responsibility in areas such as aeronautical and space industries, research centers, public and private entities for design, production, and experimentation, and certification in the aerospace field. The graduate can also work in companies that produce machines and equipment where high technology, aerodynamics, and lightness of structures are relevant.
Subsequent training
With admission subject to evaluation of the curriculum, the Master's graduate can continue their training by attending a second-level Master's degree or a doctoral research course, such as the Ph.D. course in Aerospace Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano.
