Master Data Protection Officer e Trasizione Digitale (DPOTD)

The Master's course aims to train a specialist profile of Data Protection Officer DPO, a reference figure in matters of personal data protection for all Public Bodies and Public Administrations (central and local), and, where applicable, in the private sector.


Program Overview

The Master's course is a 2nd Level Master in Italian, directed by Maria Agostina Cabiddu and Marco Fontana. The program is managed by Poliedra Consorzio Poliedra Centro di servizio e consulenza del Politecnico di Milano su pianificazione ambientale e territoriale.


Program Objectives

The immediate objective of the Master is to provide a framework for the discipline of data protection, following the entry into force of the new European Regulation (679/2016) in place of the Privacy Code (D.lgs. 196/2003). The program aims to train professionals with legal, managerial, risk management, and process analysis skills, whose main responsibility is to organize and manage the processing of personal data (and therefore their protection) within a public or private entity, ensuring that they are treated in accordance with national and European privacy regulations.

  • Functionaries and directors who hold the role of Responsible Privacy, Data Protection Officer, Responsible IT, Security Manager, Compliance Officer
  • Freelance professionals who carry out consulting activities

  • The right to be forgotten

The Master's course aims to strengthen the link between the University and the world of work, forming professionals with advanced knowledge of security and information systems, in addition to a solid understanding of sectoral regulations.
