Master in Public Administration (MPA)

The Master in Public Administration (MPA) is a program offered by the School of Social and Political Sciences.


Goals

The goals of the MPA program are to:


  • Deepen skills on matters of Public Administration in its multiple aspects, allowing students to strengthen capacities to develop management functions and decision-making in Public Administration.
  • Qualify students for public management, developing skills based on the best practices of the public sector, crucial to the challenges of public administration reform.
  • Orient students towards specialization paths, namely in Health Administration, to provide the theoretical and practical tools necessary for the application of knowledge in specific areas of Public Administration with high levels of professional demand.
  • Strengthen research skills with advanced theoretical, analytical, and methodological perspectives to support the conduct of research projects, strengthening skills for the pursuit of advanced studies (Doctoral Degree in Public Administration in the Specialties of Administration and Public Policy and Health Administration).

Admission Criteria

Applicants who possess a Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent, and, preferably, with 3 years of professional work experience. Holders of a professional or scientific curriculum, duly recognized by the Scientific Council.
