The Sports Management program is offered by the Faculty of Human Kinetics, in collaboration with the Lisbon School of Economics & Management. This program aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the sports industry, including its political, economic, and social dynamics.

Program Goals

The program's objectives are to:

• Know the epistemological problem of human movement applied to the development, organization, and management of sport
• Understand the sports phenomenon in its political, economic, and social dynamics
• Master the management evolution process, applying different paradigms to various organizational contexts of sport
• Understand the processes related to the teaching-learning of different sports modalities and activities
• Know the issues regarding the design of training and physical activity programs for different population segments
• Master the structure and dynamics of sports organizations and the mechanisms for adapting to change

Career Prospects

Graduates of the Sports Management program can pursue careers as:

• Manager of sport societies
• Commercial manager of Health Clubs and academies/sport centers
• Product/brand manager
• Sports marketing, facilities, and equipment manager

Admission Criteria

• National Contest: 31 vacancies, with a minimum candidacy note of 95 and a minimum admission exam note of 95.
• International Student Contest: 5 vacancies, with a tuition fee of 3,500.00 for the first year and remaining years.
• Admission Exams: One of the following sets: 02 Biologia e Geologia + 19 Matem·tica A or 04 Economia + 19 Matem·tica A.

• A3ES Accreditation: Decision date 11/09/2025, with an accreditation deadline of 6 years.
• DGES Registration: Registration number R/A-Ef 2030/2011, with a registration date of 03/2011.
