Mestrado em Informática

Overview

The Mestrado em Informática offers a scientific and technological specialization in the field of Informatics, based on a set of optional disciplines and the completion of a project or dissertation. The course has a simple and flexible curricular structure, allowing for individualized paths of knowledge deepening and acquisition of fundamental and advanced skills in the various scientific areas of the Informatics Department.


Objectives

The main objective of this course is to provide students and professionals with the possibility of renewing and deepening their knowledge and skills in the area of informatics, as well as complementing their training and opening up new opportunities for those from related areas and domains where informatics can be an added value. The course aims to create strong competencies and opportunities for a market and society where informatics, in high demand, plays an increasingly important role in various areas, with a specialized and multidisciplinary character.


Competencies

The course focuses on the conception and development of systems and informatics applications in a variety of multidisciplinary domains of economic and social activity. Its objective is to deepen and broaden learning, in a complementary perspective, in areas such as the web and multimedia, networks and information systems, languages, and software engineering, providing knowledge for the construction and operation of informatics solutions in conjunction with other areas.
