Professional Outcomes

  • Graduates in Energy Engineering and Management can work in areas such as fuels, energy conversion, energy efficiency, nuclear energy, and renewable energies.
  • They are qualified to plan and develop projects in the energy sector.
  • Career paths include research, engineering, management in small, medium, and large enterprises or startups, and the possibility of creating their own business or intervening in public policies.

Admission Criteria

General Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Sciences.
  • The mathematical, physical, chemical, and materials formation that candidates obtained in their previous studies must be equivalent in scope and depth to the formation acquired in the first cycles of engineering studies at the Instituto Superior Técnico.
  • The Scientific Committee of the course decides on the equivalence of this formation after analyzing the candidate's previous curriculum.
  • If the formation is not considered equivalent, the Committee may decide to include propaedeutic curricular units in the candidate's study plan necessary to achieve the desired level of equivalence, which are not counted towards the credits required for the degree completion.
