Programa de Mentorado Ciências Alumni

The Programa de Mentorado Ciências Alumni is a mentorship program designed for students and alumni of the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Lisbon. The program aims to provide students with guidance and support as they prepare to enter the job market.

Program Description

The program is open to students in their third year of study, as well as master's and doctoral students. The program is also open to alumni who wish to participate as mentors. The mentorship program will run from March to July, with a minimum of 5 hours of interaction between each mentor-mentee pair.

Program Details

• The program is free and open to all students who meet the eligibility criteria
• Alumni who wish to participate as mentors must have at least three years of relevant professional experience
• The program will include sessions on topics such as:
  • Resume and cover letter review
  • Professional networking
  • Communication skills
  • Career goal setting
• The program is managed by the Gabinete de Empregabilidade (Employability Office)

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the program, students must:

• Be in their third year of study or pursuing a master's or doctoral degree
• Be enrolled in a course at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon Alumni who wish to participate as mentors must:
• Have at least three years of relevant professional experience
• Be willing to commit to a minimum of 5 hours of interaction with their mentee

Program Schedule

The program will run from March to July, with the following schedule:

• Application period: until January 8
• Program start date: March
• Program end date: July
