Specific Course: Refresher Course in Portuguese for Conference Interpreters

Course Description

The Portuguese Language Refresher Course for Conference Interpreters is a course designed for professional interpreters with Portuguese as a passive language. The course aims to improve the participants' Portuguese language skills and interpretation techniques.

Course Details

• Date: 21 July 2025 to 1 August 2025
• Time: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday
• Location: Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon
• Organization: FLUL (Program in Translation and Interpretation, in collaboration with the Language Center of the Faculty of Letters), in partnership with the Association for the Development of the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon
• Course Fee: 1250 euros

Course Objectives

The course includes training sessions, debates, and conferences on significant topics related to the Portuguese reality, as well as sessions dedicated to the Portuguese language and guided tours. The course provides an opportunity for participants to practice and improve their simultaneous and consecutive interpretation skills.
