Introduction to the Pediatric Radiology Fellowship

The Pediatric Radiology Fellowship is a comprehensive program that provides fellows with the opportunity to train in a phenomenal environment, featuring a diverse faculty, outstanding clinical sites, and top-of-the-line equipment. The program is sponsored by Baylor College of Medicine and takes place at Texas Children's Hospital, the largest free-standing children's hospital in the world.

Admissions and Benefits

To be eligible for the program, candidates should be enrolled in a Diagnostic Radiology Residency in an ACGME- or LCME-accredited program and be eligible for board certification by the American Board of Radiology. The fellow will be eligible for membership in the Society for Pediatric Radiology and to apply for the Certificate of Added Qualification in Pediatric Radiology of the American Board of Radiology upon completion of the fellowship year and one additional year of practice in pediatric radiology.

Research Opportunities

The program offers a multitude of opportunities for research, clinical collaboration, and teaching. Fellows participate in interdepartmental conferences, resident/medical student education, quality improvement, and research. The program also offers advanced training in the form of four second-year fellowship positions in Pediatric Neuroradiology, Pediatric Cardiac Radiology, Pediatric Musculoskeletal Radiology, and Pediatric Interventional Radiology, all accredited by the Texas Medical Board.
