T32 Training Program in Cardiovascular Research and Drug Discovery

The program is designed to prepare Ph.D. students for a research career in cardiovascular research in academia or the pharmaceutical industry.


Program Details

  • The program provides salary and educational support to six trainees per year, for two years each.
  • Predoctoral trainees accepted into the program will engage in a mentored research project, which will be complemented by a set of core program activities and course work, professional development activities, and mentorship skills training.
  • Recipients will receive fellowship support, a travel supplement to attend scientific meetings, and up to $2,500 childcare reimbursement.

Eligibility

  • Predoctoral trainees (PhD students) who have a project related to cardiovascular research and/or drug development, consistent with the mission of the NHLBI.
  • Applicants must have completed their first year within the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS) at the time of appointment.
  • Citizens or non-citizen nationals of the United States, or those lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence.
  • Priority is given to applications who have been accepted into a lab led by a T32 program faculty.
