Program Overview


Introduction to the University Program

The University of Sheffield, a world-renowned public research university located in South Yorkshire, England, has a rich history and has achieved significant academic accomplishments. The university is a member of the prestigious Red Brick Universities and is known for its excellent engineering programs, including electronic and electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering. Additionally, the university has strong teaching and research capabilities in computer science, medicine, social sciences, and other fields.


Program Overview

The 4+1 Master's Degree International Cooperation Project is a collaborative program between Southeast University and the University of Sheffield. The program is open to all students from the School of Information Science and Engineering at Southeast University. Students who complete their four-year undergraduate program at Southeast University and meet the admission requirements of the University of Sheffield can apply to pursue a one-year Master's degree program at the University of Sheffield and obtain the corresponding Master's degree.


Eligibility and Participation

  • The program is open to 2021 undergraduate students.
  • The participating degrees include:
    • MSc Electronic and Electrical Engineering
    • MSc Wireless Communication Systems
    • MSc Advanced Control and Systems Engineering
    • MSc Robotics
    • MSc Autonomous and Intelligent Systems

Admission Requirements

  1. Obtain a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a grade equivalent to a 2:1 honors degree (weighted average of 75%).
  2. Achieve an IELTS score of 6.5 or above (with no less than 6.0 in each component) or a TOEFL score of 92 or above (with no less than 20 in each component). Students who do not meet the minimum English language requirements must take the University of Sheffield's English language preparatory course.

Fees

  1. Program Tuition Fee (2025/26 academic year): 」31,190. The University of Sheffield will offer a 10% tuition fee reduction to students participating in this program. The scholarship will be deducted from the full tuition fee for the Master's program at the time of registration.
  2. Other Expenses: Students are responsible for all living expenses during their study at the University of Sheffield.
