Program Overview
The Sport and Fitness Management program is a three-year training program designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become a part of a motivated and dynamic team in the field of sports management.
Program Structure
The program begins with a two-week introductory phase, followed by a rotation through various relevant areas of activity, including:
- Sport facility management
- Recreational sports
- Competitive sports and events
- Sports tours This rotation allows students to gain a comprehensive understanding of the various aspects of sports management and to develop their skills in a practical setting.
Key Components of the Program
The program includes the following key components:
- Organization, planning, and implementation of sports programs
- Financial management and accounting
- Event organization and management
- Customer consultation and sales Students will also have the opportunity to develop their skills in course calculation and independent customer consultation.
Training Institution and Theoretical Training
The practical training takes place at the University of M³nster's sports department. The theoretical training is provided by the Hansa-Berufskolleg in M³nster.
Program Duration and Certification
The program lasts for three years, with the possibility of shortening it to two and a half years for students with particularly good performance or prior qualifications. Upon completion of the program, students will receive a certification as a Sport and Fitness Manager.
Additional Qualifications
The University of M³nster also offers the opportunity to obtain an additional qualification in English with an IHK certificate.
