Job Description
In this role, one will work in the Servicepunkt Film der Universit‰t M¸nster, overseeing the conception, planning, and realization of film shoots and cinematic communication tasks. This includes working on scientific editorial films, research documentaries, PR and image films, and multi-camera live productions.
Training and Content
The three-year training program will gradually introduce participants to camera, sound, and lighting technology, enabling them to independently execute image, sound, and lighting designs. Additionally, they will learn about the maintenance, setup, testing, and operation of image and sound recording equipment, as well as the production of image and sound recordings and the application of various lighting techniques. Through daily work, participants will also gain comprehensive knowledge of various editing and post-production techniques.
Responsibilities and Opportunities
As the training progresses, participants will have the opportunity to take on the design, filming, editing, and production of moving image content. They will be able to try their hand at content and visual concept creation and participate in process-oriented filming planning. The training will also provide detailed knowledge of legal security and technical planning and cost calculation for different media productions.
Requirements
To be eligible for this program, one should have:
- A vocational or university entrance qualification
- Good grades in German, English, and mathematics
- A high degree of technical understanding, which facilitates design work and allows teams and customers to rely on them
- Well-developed communication skills to successfully implement customer requests
- Analytical thinking and customer orientation to best implement customer ideas in production
- A willingness to work in new and complex areas, supporting their deployment in production technology and related technical and design challenges
Training Institution and Theoretical Education
The practical training takes place at the Servicepunkt Film of the Zentrum f¸r Informationsverarbeitung (ZIV). The theoretical training is conducted in multi-week blocks per year at the Robert-Bosch-Berufskolleg in Dortmund.
Duration and Possible Shortening
The training lasts three years.
