Introduction to the Kinder-Uni Program

The Kinder-Uni MŁnster is a joint event series by the University of MŁnster and the Westfšlische Nachrichten, designed for students in the third to seventh grades. The program features a series of lectures where scientists from the University of MŁnster explain their research in a child-friendly language.

Program Details

• The Kinder-Uni MŁnster hosts approximately six lectures per year, which are also transmitted via video.
• Registration is required for all events and is possible on the Kinder-Uni MŁnster website 3-4 weeks prior to each event.
• The lectures aim to explain complex research topics in an accessible way, covering various disciplines and their relevance to children's lives.

Target Audience and Goals

Lecture Content

  • How politics functions
  • Scientific explanations for everyday phenomena, such as why chocolate kisses explode
  • The ability of animals to think and learn
