Program Overview

The Maintenance of Skills for the Use of Live Animals for Scientific Purposes #1 program is designed to provide updates on European and French regulations in animal research, with a focus on rodents. This program is part of the continuous training required for individuals working with live animals in scientific research.


Objectives

The primary objectives of this program are to:


  • Update participants on the European and French regulatory framework for animal research
  • Inform participants about GMO regulations and their consequences for animal research
  • Raise awareness of the ethical considerations in animal research

Target Audience

This program is intended for technicians, engineers, researchers, teachers-researchers, and doctoral students who work with live animals in scientific research.


Prerequisites

Participants are required to have basic knowledge in the use of live animals in scientific purposes and should have completed additional training for zootechnicians, applicators/practitioners, and conceptors (update regulations in animal research: rodents).
