Introduction to the University Program

Public and Prerequisites

• Target Audience: Individuals who are to direct research projects involving experimentation on live animals, such as researchers, doctoral students, and engineers.
• Prerequisites: A master's degree (M2, bac+5) or equivalent, as recognized through Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE/VAP).

Program Structure

• Base Module: 4 consecutive days, 27 hours of training, covering regulatory aspects, ethical principles, and basic biology comparative to species.
• Specific Modules: 5 consecutive days, 32 hours of training, focusing on either "Rodents and Lagomorphs" or "Aquatic Species," including theoretical and practical elements on experimental procedures, biology, and welfare of the specific species group.

Methods and Pedagogical Means

• Theoretical and practical courses.
• Learning through concrete case studies.
• Pedagogical supports, bibliography, documentation, and diaporamas.
• Course support documents in PDF format.

Evaluation and Validation

• Evaluation through QCM at the end of each module.
• Validation of both modules is necessary to receive the training validation certificate.
• Validation Includes:
  • Attendance certificate.
  • End of training certificate (after evaluation validation).
