The Population Epidemiology and Prevention (ÉPIPOP) program is a second-year master's degree offered by the Sorbonne University. This program is designed for individuals with a background in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, or veterinary medicine, as well as students from elite engineering schools.

Program Content
The program covers methodological aspects of risk measurement and various applications of epidemiology in public health, including:
- Epidemiological methods
- Health surveillance and monitoring
- Global health epidemiology
- Interventional epidemiology
- Genetic epidemiology (genetic epidemiology)
- Social epidemiology
Each theme includes a mandatory basic training and an optional in-depth training. A data analysis training using the R software is also provided.
Program Organization
The program is organized into two semesters:
- 1st semester: Theoretical training (approximately 300 hours, 30 ECTS credits)
- 2nd semester: Research or professional internship (5 months, 30 ECTS credits)
Theoretical teachings are composed of independent teaching modules (30 to 60 hours, 3 to 6 ECTS credits), including lectures and written exams.
Validation
The program is validated through:
- Written theoretical exams
- A research project with a thesis and an oral defense before a jury at the end of the academic year
Applications
Applications are accepted from May 2, 2025, to June 25, 2025, through the E-Candidat 2025 platform. For international students, registration must be completed before December 15, 2024, through Campus France.
