Introduction to the DU - Génie Biologique et Médical Program

- Legal and judicial framework of medical innovation: industrial protection, collaboration and transfer contracts, and the role of SATT.
- Innovation strategies: industrial valorization in public establishments, technological surveillance, academic-industry collaborations, and the interest of mixed laboratories.
- Technology transfer and testimonials: creating companies from hospital projects, what industry expects from public research partnerships, biotech stories, and principles of technology transfer and company creation.
- Health data valorization: data production, protection of persons and clinical research, data valorization and intellectual property, industrial and academic economic models, and data analysis and artificial intelligence in health.
- Creation and financing of innovative companies: financial development strategy, market study, public funding, and BPI devices.
- Medical devices and operational issues: European regulations, evaluation and standardization procedures, and innovation and medico-economic evaluation.
Methods and Pedagogical Means
The program includes:
- Conferences addressing both theoretical knowledge and concrete examples
- Exchanges with specialist speakers
- Round tables
- Testimonials and a CV workshop
- The program is organized into three sessions of 3 or 4 consecutive days, with a total of 10 full days, plus a CV workshop
- Meetings with industrialists who may develop innovations and with teachers

- Writing an original memoir on a theme related to the training
- Oral defense of the memoir before an examination jury
