Program Overview
M1&M2 – Innovation en Biotechnologies (Formation du parcours Biotechnologie, en alternance)
This thematic area, offered as part of the "Biotechnologies" course, is attached to the "Biologie moléculaire et cellulaire" master's program. It is a training program focused on the business world, aiming to train executives capable of integrating into biotechnology companies in the health/pharmaceutical, environmental, and cosmetic sectors.
Objectives of the Training
The objective of this training is to form executives who can understand the complexity of the biotechnology industry and adapt to its evolution. The training is based on the principle of alternation between theoretical teaching at the university and professional training with an employer.
Professional Perspectives
After completing their training, students can access various positions offered by biotechnology companies in the health/pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and environmental sectors, such as:
- R&D Engineer
- Assistant Project Manager
- Product Manager
- Marketing Manager
- Quality Engineer
- Technical Sales Engineer
- Clinical Research Associate (after additional training)
Skills Developed
The training develops both disciplinary and transversal skills, including:
- Expertise in biotechnology
- Mastery of techniques and equipment used in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, and immunology
- Ability to develop a personal and professional project
- Creativity, versatility, and autonomy
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
Organization of the Training
The training takes place over two years, from September to September, in alternation between university and enterprise. The training includes various units of teaching, such as:
- Ateliers de Biologie Moléculaire et Cellulaire
- Unité d'enseignement de biologie fondamentale
- Connaissance de l'entreprise, gestion, comptabilité
- Management de projet et entreprenariat
- Unité de langue
Diploma
The training leads to a diploma delivered by Sorbonne Université, prepared in alternation by the apprenticeship route in partnership with the CFA des Sciences.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the training, students must:
- Be less than 30 years old
- Have a bachelor's degree in science and technology or an equivalent diploma
- Conclude a training contract with an approved or authorized employer
