The Master Informatique: Parcours MSI program aims to equip students with the following knowledge and skills:

• Conform to security rules for information systems, both in daily use and professional settings, while respecting the law and ethics.
• Understand the functioning of systems and networks, as well as practices, tools, and techniques to ensure the security of information systems during development and use.
• Master fundamental algebraic tools (groups, rings, fields, finite fields) for cryptography.
• Master development tools and techniques to produce secure software and automate analysis and testing tools for information systems.
• Secure the use of databases and their implementation in setting up websites (OWASP).
• Secure local and remote access to information systems (VPN, L2TP, etc.).
• Master hardware security (communications, connected objects, observation, and disruption of the physical operation of a hardware or software security device).
• Master reverse engineering tools and techniques to analyze material and software attacks on an information system.
• Introduction to machine learning for attack detection and data analysis.
• Master crisis management and security incident response techniques.
• Master business continuity plan techniques (ISO 22301).
• Know the laws and standards applicable to the field of computer security (EBIOS, ISO 27001, etc.).

The program also focuses on linguistic skills:

• Communicate in English, both orally and in writing, and develop technical documents in this language.
• Communicate for knowledge transfer purposes in a pedagogical manner, orally and in writing, in French and English.

Additionally, the program emphasizes transversal skills:

• Work in a team to complete a project that may require multidisciplinary skills in a collaborative framework.
• Use digital reference tools and computer security rules to acquire, process, produce, and disseminate information, as well as to collaborate internally and externally.
• Analyze and synthesize data for exploitation (forensic analysis, correlated queries on security events).
• Easily use different written and oral expression registers of the French language (audit report writing, oral presentation of synthesis to the client).
• Identify and select various specialized resources to document a subject.
• Develop an argument with a critical spirit.

The program further develops technological, pre-professional, and professional skills:

• Respect the principles of ethics, deontology, and social and environmental responsibility.
• Identify digital uses and the impacts of their evolution on the areas concerned by the course.
• Autonomously use advanced digital tools for one or more computer security professions (penetration tests, system audits, prevention intrusion probes, security information and event management systems, etc.).
• Analyze actions in a professional situation, self-evaluate to improve practice within a quality approach.
