Program Overview
Master Gardener Training Program- Alberta
The Master Gardener Training Program is offered by the Faculty of Agriculture, Extended Learning. This online program consists of four independent-study classes available online, catering to participants who have a passion for gardening and want to expand their knowledge in the horticulture field.
Program Enrolment and Registration
- Program registration opens on August 18th, 2025, and closes on January 31st, 2026.
- All courses open on October 1st, 2025. If you register prior to October 1st, your course access will begin on October 1st. If you register after October 1st, your course access will begin the same day you register.
- All students will have until July 31st, 2026, to complete their course(s).
Program Overview
The program allows participants to take one course or all courses, providing the opportunity to learn and share with other gardeners who share a passion for horticulture. Master Gardener organizations are a network of associations throughout North America who share a passion for gardening, run by volunteers dedicated to providing horticultural information to the public.
