Program Overview
Master of Applied Science (MASc)
The Master of Applied Science (MASc) requires four courses, one graduate seminar, and a research thesis. The thesis must include an original contribution to the discipline and should include material of publishable quality.
Prerequisites
- Possession of a baccalaureate degree or its academic equivalent from an academic institution recognized by Dalhousie University, in which the language of instruction is English, or four years of full-time post-secondary instruction at a university where English is the primary language of instruction and in a country where English is the principal language.
- A satisfactory score on an approved English language examination is required if the prerequisites are not met.
- The Program requirement for the TOEFL is 580.
Program Requirements
- The MASc graduate program consists of not less than 12 credit hours or the equivalent, the graduate seminar, and thesis selected upon the advice of the thesis supervisor.
- No more than one senior level undergraduate course may be taken as part of the 12 credit hour requirement.
