English Language Proficiency
Dalhousie University requires students to demonstrate a high level of English language proficiency. The accepted English tests and minimum scores are:

- MELAB: 85
- IELTS: 7
- CanTest: 4.5 with no band score lower than 4.0
- CAEL: 70 with no band score lower than 60

Things to Note
- International students must outline their means of funding their studies in their online application.
- Students in their fourth year of an undergraduate program may send their transcript with grades from the previous year's Fall term after January 15.
- Applicants who have been in the workforce for a while may include letters of reference from their workplace, but at least one reference must be from an academic institution.
