The School of Physiotherapy offers a Combined MScPT-Rehabilitation Research program, which provides eligible students with the opportunity to obtain both degrees (MSc Physiotherapy and MSc Rehabilitation Research) in a period of 40 months.

Program Overview

The combined clinical/research program delivers a unique opportunity for students who want to become physiotherapists but also have aspirations for scholarly advancement through research-focused study. The individual program objectives remain unchanged.

Program Structure

• Students first engage in their MSc Rehabilitation Research training.
  • Following this first year of study, students who successfully complete required coursework and defend their MSc Rehabilitation Research Thesis Proposal will begin their MSc Physiotherapy degree with the incoming class.
• This program naturally has integrated research components, in which students in the Combined program will complete their proposed thesis.
• If, after three years of total study, students have met the objectives of the MSc Physiotherapy and MSc Rehabilitation Research degrees, both degrees will be awarded during Convocation.
