EHS Management Program

The Diploma of Emergency Health Services Management (DEHSM) provides current and future EHS leaders with the range of knowledge and skills required to effectively lead in a variety of Emergency and Disaster contexts.

Designed with working professionals in mind, the diploma can be taken over the course of one year, or through a range of more flexible part-time options.


Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission to this program, you must meet minimum academic criteria:


  1. Completion of secondary school (Grade 12)
  2. Achievement of the minimum average for your program of choice
  3. Completion of Grade 12 English (or equivalent course)

In addition to meeting Dalhousie's general admission requirements, applicants must provide:


  • Official transcripts for previous academic study
  • One letter of reference (academic or professional)
  • Resume/curriculum vitae
  • Mature students: a letter indicating your activities since leaving high school and how you plan to successfully complete the Diploma in Emergency Health Services Management
  • International students: proof that you meet Dalhousie's English Language requirements
