Course Description

Analyzing the root causes of a process problem and improving the process are two sides of the same coin. Through a blend of reading, presentations, practical examples, practice, and feedback, learners will learn to use process maps, data, statistics, and employee input to identify root causes of process problems. They will then learn to build effective and efficient solutions. The course covers all the information learners need to know to be successful, including user-friendly, illustrated walkthroughs of each step of statistical analysis using Minitab software; learners are not required to perform calculations by hand. This course is a prerequisite for the hands-on Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Capstone course, during which tools will be applied to a simulated Lean Six Sigma project.
