Course Description

The course OLCD-PROJ0060, Project Procurement & Contract Management, is a 7-hour learning experience spread over two days. It is recommended that students dedicate an additional hour over the two-day period to this course. This course is designed to guide students through procurement practices, the bid process, contract negotiations, and managing contractors and vendors for optimal performance. It also provides an introduction to contract law, offering fundamental tools required for project managers and insight into the procurement officer or buyer role on a project team.

  • Session 1: Introduction, procurement objectives, definitions, the procurement process, plan procurement, conduct procurements, due diligence
  • Session 2: Contract administration, control procurements, contract closure
