Program Overview
The Sectional Anatomy for Health Professionals program is designed to provide a foundational knowledge base of cross-sectional anatomy for non-imaging health professionals. This non-credit, online course is offered as three separate learning modules.
Course Modules
The program consists of three modules:
- Head, Neck and Spine
- Chest, Abdomen and Pelvis
- Musculoskeletal (Upper and Lower Extremities)
Module Content
Each module contains:
- Objectives to guide the learner through required goals for each module
- PowerPoint presentations of the indicated body parts, consisting of a series of medical images in multiple planes
- Static diagnostic images and diagrams to reinforce localization of anatomy
- Contrast and Compare section to demonstrate anatomy and some common pathology using different imaging modalities
- A self-test to allow learners to measure their knowledge
