The Master of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics at Ajman University is a three-year, full-time program designed to provide students with an immersive and advanced clinical experience in prosthodontics, digital dentistry, dental implantology, and aesthetic dentistry.

The program focuses on developing practical skills and applying evidence-based clinical practices while fostering compassionate patient care and promoting innovative research within the field of prosthodontics. It incorporates the latest techniques and applications in digital dentistry, and students are trained to manage complex clinical cases requiring prosthodontic, implant, and aesthetic interventions.
Mission Statement
The Master of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics at Ajman University aims to cultivate competent, ethically responsible, and research-driven specialists through advanced clinical training, scholarly inquiry, and community engagement, empowering graduates to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based prosthodontic care and to lead in the advancement and sustainability of regional and international oral healthcare systems.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- The minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) required is 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or its established equivalent in the applicant's bachelor's degree in Dentistry (BDS or DDS).
- An Equivalency Certificate issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the UAE is required for Bachelor's degrees obtained from universities outside the UAE.
- Achieving the minimum required score on an English proficiency test, with a valid certificate:
- IELTS Academic: Minimum overall band score of 6.0
- TOEFL: Minimum score of 550 (ITP), 213 (Computer-based) or 79 (Internet-based)
- Two letters of recommendation from prosthodontics course coordinators who have known the applicant and can attest to their proficiency in prosthodontics.
- Interview: Applicants for the Master of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics program will be interviewed by two senior staff members to assess their suitability for the program.
- Medical Clearance: The applicant must be medically fit to study, and their immunization status against blood-borne infectious diseases must be verified.
Conditional Admissions
A student may be considered for conditional admission to the Master of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics program under certain circumstances, including:
- Conditional Admission Due to Non-Fulfillment of Cumulative GPA Requirement
- Conditional Admissions Due to Non-fulfillment of English Proficiency Requirement
Evaluation Criteria for Postgraduate Program Applications
Applicants will be assessed based on the following criteria:
- Evaluation of academic performance based on CGPA
- Entrance Examination at the Undergraduate Level
- Post-Internship Clinical Experience
- Interview Assessment
- English Language Proficiency Score (IELTS or Equivalent)
- Additional Dental Certifications (INBDE, NBDE, MFD, etc.)
- Prior involvement in the college as a volunteer or part-time participant
Graduation Requirements
To graduate, students must:
- Successfully complete the required 82 credit hours with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of no less than 3.0
- Complete the treatment of assigned patients as per the program's clinical requirements
- Submit a written research thesis and successfully defend it before an examination committee
