Program Overview
The Bachelor of Allied Dental Sciences program is designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in dental nursing practice. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, oral biology, and microbiology relevant to dental nursing practice.
Program Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of the program, graduates will be able to:

- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, oral biology, and microbiology relevant to dental nursing practice.
- Explain the principles of infection control, patient safety, and cross-infection prevention in clinical and community dental care settings.
- Understand the pharmacological agents commonly used in dental treatments, including pain management and emergency care.

- Apply clinical techniques in assisting with a wide range of dental procedures, including restorative, surgical, orthodontic, and preventive care.
- Utilize appropriate dental instruments, materials, and technologies safely and effectively.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams using both verbal and written modes.

- Demonstrate accountability for professional practice within the scope of dental nursing, adhering to ethical and legal standards.

Program Completion Requirements
Students will be awarded the Bachelor of Allied Dental Sciences degree upon fulfillment of the following requirements:
- Completing successfully the required credit hours (120 Credit Hours), including the University requirement courses, with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) not less than C.
- Completing successfully the requirements as given in the syllabus.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- High School Diploma with a minimum average score of:
- 60% for Elite Track
- 65% for Advanced Track
- 70% for General Track
- Equivalent in Standardized International Systems
- English Proficiency Test:
- IELTS Score: 5.0
- TOEFL Score: 500 (or 61 in TOEFL iBT or 173 in TOEFL CBT)
- Equivalent other English proficiency tests approved by the MoE
- Passing a personal interview set by the College of Dentistry.
