Program Overview
The Master of Professional Accounting (MPA) program is offered by the Faculty of Commerce at Ain Shams University. The program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in accounting, preparing them for careers in the field.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission to the MPA program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field from a recognized university.
- Provide official transcripts and certificates of graduation.
- Submit a certificate of English language proficiency (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 450.
- Provide a birth certificate and two recent photographs.
- Submit a CV and a letter of recommendation from the embassy (if applicable).
Program Structure
The MPA program consists of 48 credit hours, which can be completed in a minimum of two years and a maximum of four years. The program is offered in both Arabic and English. The curriculum includes:
- Three compulsory courses in the first semester.
- One compulsory course and two elective courses in the second semester.
- A research methods course and a thesis in the final semester.
Tuition Fees
The tuition fees for the MPA program are as follows:
- Registration fee: $1500 (one-time payment).
- Annual tuition fee: $4500.
- Additional fees for non-accounting majors: $150 per course.
Research Areas
The MPA program offers specialization in the following areas:
- Financial accounting.
- Auditing.
- Cost and managerial accounting.
- Tax accounting.
Graduation Requirements
To graduate from the MPA program, students must:
- Complete all required courses with a minimum grade of 75%.
- Attend at least 75% of the lectures.
- Submit a thesis or research project.
- Pay all tuition fees and other expenses.
