Diploma in Seismology

To be eligible for the Diploma in Seismology, students must have a Bachelor's degree in Science in Geology (general or special) or Geophysics (general or special) or a Bachelor's degree in Science in Physics (general or special). Students with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering must pass an exam or take additional courses as determined by the department.

The Diploma in Seismology includes the following courses:

• 515: Elastic Wave Theory - Seismology Mechanics
• 516: Seismic Recording Stations - Selection of Geophysical Sites
• 517: Earthquakes and Plate Tectonics - Geological and Hydrological Applications of Earthquakes
• 518: Practical Course in Seismic Record Analysis and Site Testing
• 519: Social Security Course
