Introduction to the Packaging Science Program

The Packaging Science Program is designed to prepare creative and distinguished designers in the field of designing and producing packaging publications of all kinds. The program aims to qualify students to solve industrial problems in the surrounding environment and meet the requirements of the labor market through the practice of technical innovation and scientific and applied research with a view to continuous development.

The mission of the Packaging Science Program is to prepare a qualified designer who is able to apply knowledge and skills related to packaging design and production sciences. The program focuses on providing students with cognitive, intellectual, and professional skills that enable them to solve problems in design and production processes for packaging and become familiar with modern trends in overcoming them.

The objectives of the Packaging Science Program are:


  1. Qualifying the student to apply knowledge and skills related to packaging design and production sciences.
  2. Providing the student with cognitive, intellectual, and professional skills that enable him to solve the problems of design and production processes for packaging and become familiar with modern trends in overcoming them.
  3. Supporting the student's ability to make decisions, whether design or productivity, in different circumstances.
  4. Maximising the utilisation of available resources in a way that preserves them.
  5. The ability to link packaging science and technology, integrate it with chemistry, physics, and computer science, and develop design and production processes through it.
  6. Mastering professional skills in the field of project planning and management for their development, quality control, programming of design processes, and marketing of packaging products.
  7. Developing awareness of the role of packaging designers in the fields of environmental preservation and community service.
