Program Overview
Electrical Power and Machinery Engineering Program
About the Program
The study of the Electrical Power and Machinery Engineering program aims to prepare a graduate specialized in the field of electrical power and machinery engineering sciences, with the aim of providing society with the need for engineers in engineering disciplines with a high academic level, analytical and innovative mental ability and commitment to the standards, behavior and ethics of the engineering profession. It also conducts studies and research in the field of power engineering sciences and electrical machinery with applications for development, and works to develop the environment, serve the community, develop its effective mechanisms, solve its issues, and contribute positively for future development.
Objectives
Preparing engineering cadres specialized in:
- Designing and analyzing electrical power systems.
- Operation and maintenance of electrical plants (generation, transmission, distribution). Develop applied skills in:
- Designing and analyzing electrical machines (motors, generators, transformers).
- Using specialized software (such as MATLAB, ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical). Promoting scientific research and innovation in:
- Renewable energy systems (solar energy, wind energy).
- Smart Grids and energy storage systems. Meeting the needs of the labor market by:
- Qualifying graduates to work in the local and international energy sectors.
- Developing skills to solve complex engineering issues.
