The Agricultural Economic and Social Sciences Academic Program is committed to providing educational courses with the ability to prepare graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for the labor market and to prepare scientific specialized cadres in the sciences of human development, in both economic and social sectors.

Program Vision

The program seeks to be a leading program of excellence among the college's various programs by providing an educational and scientific environment that contributes to preparing a graduate who is more capable of applying science and wise management, and more capable of analyzing and studying economic and social issues of the countryside to keep pace with changes in the labor market and competition locally and regionally.

Program Mission

The program is committed to providing educational courses with the ability to prepare graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for the labor market and to prepare scientific specialized cadres in the sciences of human development, in both economic and social sectors, to be able to compete locally and regionally in education, scientific research, and community service and environmental development sectors.

Program Objectives

The program objectives are as follows:

1. Enhance the competitive position of the graduate locally and regionally.
2. Equip the student with strategic planning skills.
3. Enable the student to use tools and methods of evaluation of economic and development projects and guidance programs.
4. Enhance the student's and graduate's abilities in community participation within the framework of the scientific departments' roles in serving the community and developing the environment.
5. Equip the student with the skill of identifying problems, analyzing phenomena, and finding solutions through logical analysis of causes.
6. Enhance teaching and learning processes by engaging the student in self-learning and cooperative learning activities.
7. Enable the student to understand sustainable development and its requirements and axes, and to link it to strategic planning.
8. Equip the student with some leadership skills that help them master the role of leader and subordinate.
9. Equip the student with some life skills such as effective communication, decision-making, accepting others, teamwork, crisis management, time management, and pressure management.
10. Enable the student to manage all agricultural businesses and service and development projects.
11. Enhance the student's ability to conduct scientific research before graduation and to identify various methods of data collection, quantitative and qualitative, and to deduce research results and link them to previously set goals.
12. Enable the student to use all statistical methods used in analyzing scientific research data.
