The Agricultural Economic and Social Sciences Academic Program is committed to providing educational courses with the ability to prepare graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for the labor market and to prepare scientific specialized cadres in the sciences of human development, in both economic and social sectors.

The program objectives are:
- Enhance the competitive position of the graduate locally and regionally.
- Equip the student with skills related to strategic planning processes.
- Enable the student to use tools, methods, and approaches to evaluate economic and development projects and guidance programs.
- Enhance the student's and graduate's abilities in community participation within the framework of the scientific departments' roles in serving the community and developing the environment.
- Equip the student with the skill of identifying problems, analyzing phenomena, and reaching causes and proposing applicable solutions through logical analysis of causes.
- Enhance teaching and learning processes by engaging the student in self-learning activities and cooperative education.
- Enable the student to understand sustainable development, its requirements, and axes, and the ability to link it to strategic planning.
- Equip the student with some leadership skills that help him master the role of leader and subordinate.
- Equip the student with some life skills such as effective communication skills, decision-making ability, acceptance of others, ability to work within a team, crisis management, time management, and pressure management.
- Enable the student to manage all agricultural businesses and service and development projects.
- Enhance the student's ability to practice scientific research before graduation and identify various methods of collecting quantitative and qualitative data and deducing research results and linking them to previously set goals.
- Enable the student to use all statistical methods used in analyzing scientific research data.
