Engineering Geology and Building Materials Program
The Engineering Geology and Building Materials Program is a comprehensive academic program designed to provide students with a thorough understanding of engineering geology and building materials.
Admission Requirements
- Students must have a high school diploma (science or mathematics) or its equivalent, and equivalent Arab and foreign certificates, in accordance with the admission requirements set by the Supreme Council of Universities.
- The College Council may also accept foreign students subject to the same enrollment and transfer conditions applicable to Egyptian students, and with additional conditions proposed by the College Council, approved by the University Council, and adopted by the Supreme Council of Universities.
- Students enrolled in a similar program at a science college at an Egyptian or foreign university may be accepted for transfer, provided the student meets the college's admission requirements.
- The registration period is one week. The study period is fourteen weeks, including one week for midterm exams. The final exam period is two weeks, determined by the college and university councils. Students undergo a medical examination at university hospitals before being accepted into the program.
Academic Degree
The study is in English, and students should complete 136 credit hours (16-18 hours per semester) to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Geology and Building Materials. The credit hours are distributed as follows:
- University Requirements: 8 credit hours (first and second levels)
- Faculty requirements: 28 hours (first level)
- Major requirements: 88 hours (third level)
- Optional choice: 6 hours (third level)
- Practical or field training: 3 hours (after completing 90 hours)
- Graduation project: 3 hours (fourth level)
Tuition Fees
Annual tuition fees include an ID card fee plus EGP 10,000, paid in two installments.
