Program Overview
University Program: Statistical Analysis in Scientific Research
Program Overview
The University of Sohag's Center for Developing the Capacities of Faculty Members and Leaders has concluded a training program on "Statistical Analysis in Scientific Research" targeting assistants and teaching assistants at various colleges of the university. The program aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills related to statistical analysis of scientific research data.
Program Objectives
The training program included several detailed objectives, such as:
- Introducing statistical data and its types, whether descriptive or quantitative
- Explaining research sampling methods and how to process data and put it in the appropriate form for statistical analysis
- Identifying types of scientific experiments and the principles of experiment design
- Explaining different methods of statistical analysis and how to determine the appropriate method according to the type of data
- Designing experiments and determining the research objective
Program Details
The program also included the use of various software for statistical analysis, as well as explaining how to interpret the results of statistical analysis and present research results in an appropriate form for scientific publication. The program was attended by Dr. Nafeh Muhammad Ibrahim, Professor of Statistics and Data Analysis at the Faculty of Agriculture and Coordinator of the Biostatistics Program at the college.
Program Goals
The goal of the training is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills related to statistical analysis of scientific research data, with a positive change in their direction towards adopting statistical analysis of their scientific research data. The program is designed to enhance the research capabilities of faculty members and teaching assistants, enabling them to conduct high-quality research and publish their findings in reputable scientific journals.
