Theater Programme

The Theater programme is designed to develop professionals in the field of educational media theater. The programme aims to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to apply theatrical techniques in educational settings.

General Objectives of the Educational Media Theater Program

The general objectives of the program are:

1. To develop students professionally and enable them to adopt diverse professional relationships.
2. To acquire basic theatrical skills and apply them in the educational field.
3. To familiarize students with various theater arts, including directing, decoration, lighting, make-up, acting, and producing theatrical scripts.
4. To enable students to supervise all stages of production of theatrical activity at various educational levels.
5. To use knowledge of contemporary theater sciences to advance ideas and theatrical creativity.
6. To evaluate, develop, and improve the reality of educational media theater in line with continuous development and progress in the field of public theater.
7. To keep pace with technological developments and innovations to develop personal abilities and professional skills.
8. To utilize theater to support the elements of cultural identity and reflect on the performance of Egyptian society.
9. To design, implement, and manage small theatrical projects in light of available capabilities.
10. To apply different teaching methods that suit the diversity of learners' characteristics.
11. To employ mechanisms and methods for educational and psychological evaluation and guidance.
12. To communicate in proper Arabic and one of the foreign languages.
13. To commit to community values and professional ethics, and participate in the values of belonging, democracy, and acceptance of others.

15. To participate in solving professional and societal problems and developing the community using scientific methods and employing education.

General Specifications for a Graduate of the Educational Media Theater Program

The general specifications for a graduate of the program are:

1. To design a plan for theatrical activity, appropriate to the diversity of learners.
2. To apply theatrical writing techniques, taking into account the characteristics of learners and their teaching and learning styles.
3. To use appropriate methods and tools to evaluate theatrical activity.
4. To professionally deal with people with special needs who are amenable to educational inclusion.
5. To develop oneself professionally and build diverse professional relationships.
6. To realize the unity of knowledge and complementary relationships between the various fields of science and its various branches.
7. To employ educational and psychological guidance and guidance mechanisms, and entrepreneurship in professional practices.
