Sustainable Thinking for Everyday Life
Program Overview
Sustainable Thinking for Everyday Life Program
The Sustainable Thinking for Everyday Life program introduces students to sustainable thinking concepts and everyday life practices, starting with the 3Rs+U (reduce, reuse, recycle, and upcycle) notion. Through various activities, including presentations, storytelling, and round-table discussions, students practice ideas that help improve their habits and immediate surroundings for an enhanced overall quality of life.
Program Description
Students explore the holistic sustainable process and its correlation with interrelated implications in their communities. Reflecting on the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), students participate in design games and perception tests on sustainable thinking principles and connect these principles with architectural learnings. After understanding the SDGs, students apply their learning by producing small architectural models and posters. Through a pin-up and a jury simulation, students present and debate their projects' effectiveness in solving long-term built environment problems.
