Program Overview

The Creative Drama program is a bootcamp designed to nurture self-confidence and inner strength, helping participants believe in themselves. Through creative writing and theatrical drama, participants will engage in activities to discover their hidden talents, go on a journey of personal development, and change how they see themselves and the world around them.

Program Details

• The program is a collaboration between The American University in Cairo (AUC) and Sereira Creative Academy for non-traditional education.
• The bootcamp aims to help participants recognize their inner strength and unleash their hidden talents using all creative tools.

Duration and Location

• Sessions will run daily from 9 am to 3 pm
• The program will be held at the AUC New Cairo campus
• AUC holidays will be compensated for with extra hours

Fees

• The program fee is EGP 6,000, which includes materials needed
• Discounts are offered:
  • 10% discount for siblings
  • 10% discount for AUC faculty and staff
  • 15% discount for AUC alumni

Eligibility

• The program is open to students aged 14-18 years old with English language proficiency
• Passion for acting and creative writing is required

Certification

• All bootcamp participants will receive a certificate of participation from The American University in Cairo (AUC)

Transportation and Accommodation

• The AUC Bus Service is available for extra fees
• Accommodation is offered at the University Residences in case needed

Instructors

• Aliaa Hamad: Senior instructor, theme leader, and chair of the Writing Minor Advising Committee at AUC's Department of Rhetoric and Composition
• Nahla Anwar: Creative facilitator, visual artist, and founder of Sereira Creative Academy

Refund Policy

• A 100% refund of the program fees will be offered in the following cases:
  • Course cancellation
  • Medical withdrawal
  • Visa denial
• Refund requests must be reported at least three weeks before the program's start date
