Program Overview

The Emotional Social Intelligence program is designed to empower adolescents with essential Social Emotional Learning (SEL) competencies, equipping them to navigate daily life with confidence, resilience, and empathy. This course helps participants develop a strong sense of identity, overcome challenges, and learn teamwork through engaging activities.


Program Details

  • Duration and Location: The program will take place from January 25 to 29, 2026, at the AUC New Cairo campus, with sessions running daily from 9 am to 4 pm, and Fridays and Saturdays off.
  • Fees: The program fee is EGP 4,000, including materials needed, with discounts available for siblings, AUC faculty and staff, and AUC alumni.
  • Who Can Apply: Students aged 13-15 years are eligible to apply.
  • Certification: All participants will receive a certificate of participation from AUC.

Program Structure

The program will cover the following areas:


  • Self-Awareness: Recognize and understand emotions, thoughts, strengths, and areas for growth.
  • Self-Management: Learn to regulate emotions and behaviors, manage stress, set inspiring goals, and seek support when needed.
  • Social Awareness: Build meaningful connections through empathy, active listening, and effective communication with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Responsible Decision Making: Make thoughtful choices that promote safety, respect, and positivity for themselves and others.

Instructor

The program will be led by Krista Masonis, who combines over ten years of experience in creating, teaching, managing, and evaluating adolescent and youth education and training programs with her clinical coaching of adolescents and young adults.


Accommodation and Transportation

Accommodation is offered at the University residences in case needed, and the AUC bus service is available for an extra fee, with details on the schedule to be shared before the program's start date.


Refund Policy

A 100% refund of the program fees will be offered in cases of course cancellation, medical withdrawal, or visa denial, if reported at least three weeks before the program's start date.
