The program in question is the Customs Procedures and Supply Chain Management program, offered in cooperation with the Arab Union of Customs Clearing Agents and the School of Continuing Education (SCE). This program provides participants with comprehensive knowledge of customs procedures necessary for import and export operations, as well as types of special customs systems and their applications according to the principles and standards of the Kyoto Convention amended by modern customs procedures.

Learning Outcomes

Customs Procedures:

• Overview of the World Customs Organization, its objectives, importance, and general principles
• Comprehensive understanding of customs procedures for import and export according to the amended Kyoto Convention
• Concept and types of special customs systems (import and export)
• Identification of customs clearance procedures, stages, and customs documents

Supply Chain Management:

• Definition of the supply chain, its bases, and explanation of its importance in business operations
• Identification of the main drivers of logistical excellence and analysis of their role in improving efficiency and effectiveness
• Description of shipping and transportation concepts and highlighting their applications in operational contexts
• Application of basic procedures for export and import management to support the success of international trade activities
• Interpretation of customs compliance requirements and evaluation of regulations governing cross-border trade
• Examination of contractual terms related to customs and differentiation between their applications within trade agreements
• Evaluation of the impact of international trade agreements on supply chain practices, logistical services, and customs
• Evaluation of green customs initiatives and proposal of strategies to enhance sustainable trade practices
