The DiplŰme Universitaire en Sciences des Archives (DUSA) is an international diploma aimed at training professionals in the field of written heritage conservation, particularly archives. It consists of 8 online training modules concerning the documentary heritage of archives, their production, collection, conservation, and enhancement. These modules provide the necessary methodological basis for organizing an archive service.

The DUSA also includes an intensive internship in the archive services of public institutions, foundations, or companies in France or Africa, and a documentary file to be prepared. The DUSA was created by three partner institutions as part of actions to support higher education in Africa, supported in France by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. The three partners have pooled their internationally recognized expertise to co-accredit the DUSA.

The DUSA is aimed at a French-speaking public, prioritizing Africans, who wish to train professionally to work in the field of archives. The objective of this online training is to facilitate the integration of audiences who encounter difficulties in accessing university education.

The DUSA is of interest to anyone with a professional project related to archives and wishing to engage in the collection, conservation, communication, and enhancement of written heritage.

The three partner institutions (Universitť Senghor, …cole Nationale des Chartes, and …cole de bibliothťcaires, archivistes et documentalistes de Dakar) ensure equality and equity between candidates and wish to develop the interest of young generations in archives, at all stages of their production and administrative and heritage use.
