University Program Information
The University Senghor is a participant in the “Réseau Action de Formation Archives et Afrique” (RESEAU-AFAA) program, a joint initiative with the École Nationale des Chartes and the École des Bibliothécaires, Archivistes et Documentaliste de Dakar. This program was selected as part of the Support for the Development of French Higher Education in Africa (ADESFA) initiative.
Program Description
The RESEAU-AFAA project is a partnership between the University Senghor, the École Nationale des Chartes, and the École des Bibliothécaires, Archivistes et Documentaliste de Dakar. The program aims to support the development of higher education in Africa, with a focus on the preservation and management of archives and cultural heritage.
Selection Criteria
The selection process for the ADESFA program considered several factors, including:
- Priority given to projects in the field of health, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the African continent
- Geographical balance of selected projects
- Support for projects in countries with high development potential, where French university cooperation is limited
- Diversity of disciplinary fields and types of institutions involved (universities, engineering schools, IUT, grandes écoles, etc.)
Program Objectives
The RESEAU-AFAA program aims to promote cooperation between French and African institutions, with a focus on the development of higher education and research in Africa.
